Nicole “Niki” Martell is a Senior Associate Attorney at David Di Pietro & Associates where she focuses on practicing health care law, probate litigation, and general business and commercial litigation. Niki is an aggressive and experienced litigator and trial attorney, working closely with the head of the firm, David Di Pietro.
Niki started her career as an Assistant State Attorney at the Broward State Attorney’s Office, where she quickly advanced to take on more complex and impactful cases, ranging from trafficking of illegal narcotics to violent victim crimes. In the role of Assistant State Attorney, she gained extensive litigation experience, having tried over 50 jury and bench trials. Additionally, she has drafted, researched and litigated numerous pre-trial motions involving a variety of legal issues in a broad range of criminal matters. Most recently, she took the lead in researching and composing written responses on behalf of the State Attorney’s Office to address two key legal issues with the courts: the impact of the Florida Supreme Court’s revision of the discovery rules on the prosecution’s obligation to disclose confidential informants and the process for handling the legislature’s recent implementation of the Violent Offender of Special Concern classification.
Niki is a lifelong resident of South Florida, where she graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations with a minor in Business Management from the University of Florida in 2009 and her Juris Doctor degree from Florida State University in 2012. NIki is admitted into practice in all Florida Courts.
