With immigration being a hot button issue over the past year, it is inevitable that cases such as the deportation of Abrego Garcia have been brought to public spotlight. A similar case has now appeared involving the deportation of Daniel Lozano-Camargo, despite a legal settlement barring him from deportation while his request for asylum is pending. There has been controversy surrounding this, as some say that the deportation was illegal with even a judge ordering his return to be facilitated. Others argue that this deportation was rightful, with the Trump administration declaring him to be a member of Tren de Aragua, a Venezuelan gang that has been declared a terrorist organization by the federal government.
Attorney David Di Pietro was brought on NewsMax’s American Agenda to discuss this case, as well as what to expect going forward. He explained that the asylum system has been taken advantage of on a large scale, and that because of that it has created a legal circus for ICE and DHS to navigate. He indicated that there should be no expectation of any real legal recourse due to Lozano-Camargo being out of the country now. He explained that at this point this has turned into a moot legal issue.
David was requested to appear on NewsMax due to his qualifications and expertise in representing clients in constitutional and immigration law.
