Attorney David Di Pietro appeared on Newsmax TV to discuss the circumstances surrounding the release of the body camera video from the police officers involved in the shooting death of Andrew Brown on April 21st of 2021. Joining David in the conversation was nationally renowned former Tucson police officer Brandon Tatum. The conversation centered around the controversy of the body camera video not being fully released despite pleas from Mr. Brown’s family for its release.

While David cited the importance of transparency in government, he also noted the important balance of not giving too much information out to the public before a trial as this can cause the evidence to be thrown out. David made it clear that he is confident the video will eventually be fully released to the public, despite the more restrictive process by which the State of North Carolina releases this type of information.

David was specifically requested to appear on Newsmax due to his qualifications as an expert trial litigation attorney.
